The ESAVN program is categorized as an emergency program because it provides urgent statewide outreach and resettlement case management services for two extremely vulnerable populations under the Trafficking and Crime Victim Assistance Program (TCVAP). EASVN provides culturally appropriate and responsive case management services for asylees and vulnerable noncitizens for up to 90-days within the first year following the grant of asylum, or having been deemed vulnerable noncitizens eligible for services.
Case Managers have been able to assist clients with accessing public benefits, resources for housing and utility assistance, employment, education, healthcare services, literacy, and childcare services, among others.
In 2023, the Catholic Charities statewide network has provided services to 216 asylees and 987 vulnerable non-citizens in 31 counties throughout the state.
