Our Story

Catholic Charities of California

Who We Are

Catholic Charities of California represents the statewide network of local Catholic Charities organizations. Each year, this network of 12 agencies provides over 1.6 million professional human services to Californians. We provide free legal assistance and representation to immigrants, deliver food and clothing to struggling families, and conduct benefit outreach and enrollment for households eligible for Medi-Cal and CalFresh. Our nutrition education programs introduce healthy habits and physical activity opportunities to communities. Our emergency preparedness and disaster recovery programs protect and restore vulnerable households impacted by emergencies and disasters. Catholic Charities agencies specialize in whole-person and whole-family assessment and wraparound services to address the root causes of poverty and suffering.
