Natasha was sixteen, pregnant, and living in a home shaped by instability and addiction. Her mom had ongoing mental health challenges as as well as substance abuse problems.
Natasha was a determined young lady, but she really didn't see a future for herself or her daughter. Unfortunately, in this time of unrest, she dropped out of high school.
With consistent home visitation and case management support, she found the courage to return to school. Our team drove her every morning until she earned her diploma, the first high school graduate in her entire family.
That achievement changed the trajectory of her life and her daughter’s. Since then, Natasha has gone on to cosmetology school.
Today, Natasha owns her own cosmetology business and has built a stable, hopeful future for her daughter.
