Three years ago, she first came to Catholic Charities overwhelmed by the stress of leaving a partner with substance abuse issues. Through individual therapy, she learned to make sound decisions and rebuild her self-esteem.
Recently, she returned to therapy to face a new challenge: adjusting to life as the head of her household and wanting to "find herself" while reconnecting with her immediate family. Over the course of eight targeted sessions, a clinician worked with her using mindfulness, grounding techniques, and positive parenting interventions. Today, she feels empowered, less stressed, and deeply reconnected with her children.
