Nicole, a single mom to a precious 9-month-old, faced an uphill battle in finding safe and secure housing.
While homeless with her child, Nicole worked hard to manage her finances and find employment. She remembers the urgency with which she sought safety for her child while living in a homeless shelter, acknowledging "we need stability, especially when you have a small child. They need to be in a stable environment."
However, Nicole still found herself short of achieving secure housing. "I had a job lined up. I was already just living off savings, so I needed that extra assistance to move in."
Catholic Charities was able to assist Nicole with securing an apartment for her little family. "Catholic Charities helped me with a deposit to move in to my first apartment."
