In the wake of the devastating 2025 Eaton Fire, survivors found themselves displaced, with many facing immediate needs for shelter, clothing, food, and essential supplies. Families were struggling to rebuild their lives, and children risked missing out on critical back-to-school resources. The urgency for coordinated relief efforts was clear—survivors needed not just immediate aid, but also long-term support to stabilize their lives.
Recognizing the scale of the crisis, we swiftly organized a Disaster Relief Event at Sacred Heart Parish in Altadena. Our team mobilized to sign up participants in our Disaster Aid Relief for Host Families Program, provide case management services, and distribute essential supplies, such as back-to-school items, new clothing, shoes, toiletries, and fresh produce to address immediate needs.
The event was a resounding success. Over 300 Eaton Fire survivors attended, receiving critical resources and support. Families left with not only tangible aid but also a renewed sense of hope and community. The event laid the foundation for ongoing recovery, ensuring that survivors had access to the tools and networks needed to rebuild their lives.
This initiative underscored the power of collective action — proving that even in the face of adversity, a community can come together to restore dignity, stability, and hope.
